In your Dashboard, select Spark from the sidebar. You'll see your existing Spark Campaigns.
If this is your first time using Spark, the list will be empty. Select NEW CAMPAIGN.
Complete each of the fields.
Name: This is the name of your fundraising campaign or event. The Name will display beneath the logo in your Campaign Display.
Goal: This is the dollar amount that you hope to raise throughout the before the end of your campaign or event. With each donation, the thermometer in your Campaign Display (shown below) will fill proportionally to the Goal. When the Goal is met, the thermometer in your Campaign Display will be completely filled. The Goal can be updated at any time.
Start Date / End Date: The date on which your campaign begins and ends.
External Donations: Donations by cash, check or any other method that is not recognized by your DipJar(s) can be entered as External Donations which will add to the total amount raised in your Spark Campaign.
You can change the External Donations amount at any time throughout your campaign.
The External Donations amount that you enter should always be the total amount raised during your entire campaign. When the External Donations amount is changed, the previously entered External Donations amount is removed from the campaign.
External Donations do not affect your DipJar transaction history in any way. They are shown only within your Campaign Display.
Theme: Set the appearance of background features of your Campaign to Light, Dark, or Custom.
Selecting the Custom theme will show 2 additional fields: Primary Color and Secondary Color. Selecting these fields will show a color picker. Select the colors of your choice.
Primary Color is the color of the campaign Name, amount raised, and thermometer.
Secondary Color is the color of the campaign Description and Goal.
Custom themes use the Light Theme background.
Description: A brief description of your fundraising campaign. The Description displays as a subtitle beneath the title in your Campaign Display.
Logo: Upload an image file of your choice. A popular and suggested image choice is that of your organization's logo. In the below example, the logo image is the face of my school's cat, Ferris.
The maximum file size for logos is 1.5 MB.
Teams: Teams contain the DipJar(s) that will interact with your campaign as donations are collected. Teams can contain one or multiple DipJars. In order for Spark to register donations from your DipJar(s), you must create a team containing the DipJar(s) that you wish to use.
Name: The Team Name can be set to anything you want. It is for your internal reference and is not displayed in your campaign display.
Jars: Set the DipJars that you wish to use within the team here. Begin typing the 6-digit serial number to your DipJar(s) - available DipJars will appear within a widget in which they can be selected.
Once you've set the Team Name and Jars, select ADD TEAM.
When you're satisfied with the settings of your Spark Campaign, click SAVE.
Your new Campaign will now appear in the Spark Campaigns menu. Click the URL to view the campaign display.
The URL links to your campaign and can be copied and viewed from any device's web browser - display your campaign anywhere you'd like!
